Medically Focused Optometrist

Our hybrid MD/OD practice is looking for a medically focused optometrist to join our team. This is a full time position. With over 50 years of service in the Arlington Heights community, Northwest Eye Physicians is a privately owned practice comprised of doctors and employees alike who strive to provide excellent patient care. Our office is one of only two in the state with an on-site surgical suite.

The job responsibilities for this position include:

• Conducting eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation
• Prescribing both glasses and contact lenses
• Beginning the process of surgical consults by educating patients about the procedures we offer and referring to the appropriate MD
• Assisting in postoperative care and follow up for patients who have had surgery
• Delivering excellent customer service to all patients within the practice
• Being on call for a rotating schedule with the other physicians (NO hospital call!)

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of optometry experience with an active Illinois state license
• The desire to grow their patient base through networking and positive patient experiences
• Experience in a hybrid MD/OD office or surgical setting

This is a full time opportunity with a base salary commensurate with experience PLUS an annual bonus based on productivity.  Please include your hourly salary requirement with your application.
